Hi

I guess I one of those weirdos who will probably hold on to my clonazepam daily as needed forever. I also use 40mgs. Inderal (propanolol) 40mgs.IR 3 x's daily. The clonazepam under my tongue is a lifesaver to me for what I call 'intellectual/mental' anxiety/panic.

The Inderal annihilates my physical symptoms like feeling shaky and feeling like my chest is being squeezed tight. Yes, I've had the heart chex, and I am fine on that score.

But, I also take Lexapro10-20 mgs. and 40-80mgs dexedrine daily.

It's a -cocktail- that has taken me & the docs 5-8 yrs. to develop and, in concert, I need/like/appreciate all of them.

BTW~ I started at.5 clonazepam 5 yrs. ago, as my life became more complicated, I rose to 4 mgs. daily. Am now at 2--3 daily for past 2 yrs. And, it is still quite effective, and I will probably lower the dose again at some future date.

But, it DOES NOT sound like the anxiolytic for you! I myself despise Valium-causes depression/anger in me and Ativan "hits" me, then dissipates far too quickly.

We are all individuals. You may need some other benzo, who knows? We all have to keep on searching, and I know it is a paainful process.
But, hang in there & hope u feel better soon.
