Hi Declan and Phillipa: Melatonin IS available in the US -- just bought some about a week ago (I live in CA) after reading an earlier thread suggesting trying it for Parnate insomnia. It seems the standard is 3mg tablets. My doctor said I could try it if I wanted but that she was wary of it since it's a hormone and largely unregulated since it's sold without a prescription. I tried 1.5mg one night and it did nothing -- might try it again if Restoril stops working completely. Hope this helps. Take care, Lauren
