I know Shawn is coming at it from a different prespective, but the days during which I thought that these drugs were doing something novel, and beneficial for my brain are long gone.
Whenever they test these drugs on animals, they only do two week tests. They never keep an animal on prozac for a year to observe the fact that any acute changes had long since been compensated for, and that the animal is more or less the same.When the drugs came out, doctors really wanted them to be different from street drugs, but only time can make that distinction.
