Hey! Some of the generics in this country--Teva, for instance--originate elsewhere (Teva is based in Israel, but I think they manufacture all over the globe). Based on personal experience, I'd recommend that you just assume that the Indian generic is a little weaker than the american brand name and adjust accordingly. I've found this works for anti-anxiety drugs and anti-depresseants; with meds that have the potential for more side-effects, like anti-psychotics, I'd recommend being more cautious, just because overdoing it even a bit could prove disastrous.
