> I don't know which drugs would help one cry, but I do know which ones made it impossible for me to cry even when I needed to. The ssri's made me emotionless and numb. No matter how distraught or sad I was, I was unable to cry. This happened on Prozac, Zoloft and Celexa, with Celexa being the worst. Eventually, Celexa made me feel more hopeless and depressed than I have ever been, yet I was still unable to cry.

You know. Oddly enough, on Effexor and the SSRIs I felt apathetic and unable to cry in my real life but when I would go to the movies, I would cry like a baby and I couldn't control it. It was so strange. I went to say good-bye to my best friend when I was moving far away. She was crying a lot but I couldn't cry at all. Yet she had always seen me crying so much at the movies. She must have thought I didn't care enough which was far from the truth.
