pdocs often use moodstabilizers with BPD diagnosis. and the cutting automatically puts you in with BPD dx (trust me i know). anyway, my docs have pretty much scanned the spectrum for me as well. not really 100% sure what i have (am???) anyway, though it's been pretty constant BP2. i have found some Rx that work, for the most part. but Rx AND Therpy is helping me. i guess it's most important to find meds that work. the Dx is really just a starting point for them to pinpoint some medications to try.

b2c> I was on luvox 50mg, trileptal 300mg 3x a day, ativan 0.5mg 3x a day and 200mg seroquel for sleep. They can't ever decide on my DX!! Last month I was bipolar mixed states and now he thinks it's borderline personality disorder just because it is typical for borderlines to cut themselves (which I did and have done since middle school). It kind of pisses me off, but at the same time it's getting to where it doesn't bother me much anymore...I'm just too complicated for them to pinpoint anything and I have symptoms of almost everything :-) Anyway, I got abilify for reasons unknown to me..tried that for 2 days and that was enough for me..quit that one...quit luvox and went back on it now...started depakote and I'm sticking with that one I think...Why would I need an anti-psychotic and a mood stabilizer if I'm not bipolar? Urg!!
