Yeah, I just wanted to say I think it's a mixed bag here. People either like Ambien or Lunesta better and it's really variable from person to person.
I think the good news is that if one doesn't work for you the other will! It gives us more meds in our arsenal to work with.
It shows how drastically different all our chemistrys are. Some say Lunesta gives more of a ''benzo feel'' than Ambien and I, personally feel, Ambien gives a much more satisfying Benzo feel than Lunesta!
I am sorry to say that after looking at the studies of Lunesta for depression that the only aspect it helped depression is with the sleep latency and length evaluation (Duh of course it does--silly studies.) I am really happy to see others are being helped by Lunesta though.
Right now, I am doing decent on 15-20mgs of Ambien at Bedtime with 25-50mgs of Benadryl liquid gels. No thanks to Lunesta for me. Not a bad drug at all... just doesn't mesh with my chemistry -- but it has a surprising abscence of side-effects.
