Thanks for the response. I have never had cardiac symptoms outside of my normal panic attacks before. From the literature I have read Strattera is known to increase resting pulse rate and BP only slightly. My biggest concern is that over the long term the cardiac risk might be similar to taking a stimulant. This concerns me greatly because it has become clear that my anxiety is not a seratonin problem but a noripenephrine problem. All meds that touch on this neurotransmitter have been known to increase BP and pulse rate. Quite simply I want to be able to take what my brain clearly needs but at the same time I don't want to find out ten years from now that I have drastically increased my risk for a stroke or heart attack. I'd rather not be involved in a class action suit against Lily because I started taking a medication that had only been on the market 2 years.

Does anyone out there strongly believe that drastically increasing a stimulating neurotransmitter like noripenephrine can possibly have long term effects. From what I understand, anything that puts continual stress on blood vessels in the brain and heart will eventually lead to problems.. Am I being crazy??? Anyone else out there having luck with Strattera. If so, are you concerned too????

Thanks
