Paxil CR taken off the shelves

My mom's a nurse and called me the other day to tell me she had talked to a doctor she works with and he said that Paxil CR had been taken off the market for the time being - ordered by the FDA because of poor quality. Apprently some of the tablets would release too much of the med and some wouldn't release it at all. Regular Paxil is ok however. Anyone else hear of this? Is it old news?
