I am on
225 mg of Effexor XR,
20 mg Prozac,
10-40 mg of Adderall, and
15 mg of Remeron.

I have night sweats (severe) every single night. Prozac has caused this side-effect before but never to the degree that Effexor manages to induce. I've tried sleeping with very limited coverings, including lack of clothing and nothing seems to reduce the side-effect.

However, I did discover (just a couple nights ago after staying up very late playing Everquest with my significant other) that it actually happens even if I'm awake, this side-effect is not sleep dependant. In addition to the profuse hot flashes and sweating I had uncomfortable head-electricity and disconnected feelings which are quite familiar to me.

Therefore, I believe the profuse sweating is actually the beginning of Effexor withdrawal during the night. I split up my dose of the supposed XR and added a small amount to my before bed routine and woke up without my bed being a wet dishrag. On the down-side, I slept like crap! So, I will not be utilizing this sweat-reducing method in the future (unless I have a really good reason).
