hi, at one point I was on 150 mg Provigil plus 10 mg Ritalin LA and 100 mg nortriptyline. The Provigil was EXTREMELY effective, more so than any other med, but had so many weird side effects that I had to discontinue. I tried to taper, taking 100 mg Provigil with 20 mg Ritalin LA, and the combination was too intense to handle: hyperfocus, shifting attention became an act of will. I also felt like I was in a stupor. I discontinued the Provigil completely at that point, and found that 20 mg Ritalin did nothing on its own. I went up to 60 mg Ritalin, but the benefits were only apparent at peak plasma times and the up- and down-slopes were awful and came close to getting me fired from work. Now I'm starting Strattera again and am only moderately optimistic about what will happen. But I am very stim-intolerant and I think Provigil can be safely combined with many types of med.
