Klonopin--Crying spells, Extreme irritability??

Posted by Laree on January 28, 2005, at 21:08:53

Hi,
I have been on Klonopin (rx = up to 1 mg./day) for a few months for what is believed to be severe panic disorder/attacks coupled with extreme anxiety. I often feel this dosage is inadequate but my pdoc refuses to go any higher.
I am also on Adderall (have been for years) and Lexapro.
Lately I have noticed I have been getting agitated very quickly--ie, overreacting to something in a dramatically irritated fashion, hypersensitivity to being touched, etc.
I have also been experiencing frequent crying spells or tearfulness at the drop of a hat, which is very uncharacteristic for me. And to provide some mental imagery here, I often feel as if a pervasive lacquer of meloncholy is being poured over me.
Sometimes a general "I can't deal!!" attitude rears it's ugly head, and I have also been experiencing a generalized feeling of emotional numbness/flatness.
Has anyone else had any similar reaction(s)??
Thank-you!
