Effexor always significantly raised my blood pressure at even very small doses. It also was very sleep disruptive, but it worked for anxiety and depressive symptoms far far better than Cymbalta did.

Cymbalta didn't affect my blood pressure in a consistent higher way. What it did do was cause it to *fluctuate* more but it never got as high as Effexor made it go. In fact, I had some intermittent vertigo spells on Cymbalta (like postural hypotension feelings TCA's can cause). However, unlike Effexor, Cymbalta didn't disrupt my sleep. OH well, can't have everything!
