Is the Increase in Effexor Causing Blurry Thinking

Posted by TommyIsland on January 20, 2005, at 22:47:11

Hello, I have used this board from time to time and it has truly been an oasis of comfort. I have been taking Effexor Xr 150 MG for about 5 years. At first it helped tremendously and through the years I've had my ups and complete downs where I was at very low points. I weaned off it completely two times and seemed to crash within a few days each time and immediately started back on it again each time. HERE'S MY PROBLEM: I was recently prescribed by my new doctor to try increasing the dose to 225 MG to see if it could help me with my depression. At first I thought it was helping a bit but as of 3 weeks ago my mind has seemed to become one big blur. What I mean by this is that I can no longer concentrate on anything and I feel I have suddenly encountered the most terrible onset of ADD. I literally can't put my attention on anything and to top it off my vision feels a bit blurry to me......especially when I look at this monitor. Has anybody else out there experienced "Blurry Thinking" or "Lack Of Ability To Concentrate" while increasing the dose of Effexor XR? I was on 150 MG for 5 years and only recently increased the dose to 225 MG about two months ago. Can this increase be what's causing my current problems?
