Neither of those will knock her out. Maybe she wont remember it after a few hours but the pain will still be there. You say she no longer gets effect from opiods? Has she tried the really strong ones like fentanyl patches, hydromorphone or diamorphine(this is also called heroin on the streets not available as medicine in all countries). Note that i am NOT suggesting what she needs. What i am suggesting is a doctor maybe should try the stronger opiods on her maybe in combination with non opiod painkillers. But this sounds like a question you should ask a doctor. I dont think knocking someone out really solves any problems.
