I'd like to ask a question to everyone who has tapered off a benzo........
What was the most successfull method of tapering for YOU? (Which benzo were you on? For how long? What dose?)
a) An EXTREMELY gradual taper- as recommended on http://www.benzo.org by Dr. Ashton.
This is supposed to reduced the intensity of the withdrawal symptoms but other people have reported that tapering VERY gradually 'prolonged the agony.'b) A more rapid taper over a few weeks.
This may increase the intensity of the withdrawal symptoms... but other people have reported that it reduces the duration of the withdrawal symptoms.
