I understand. My mother was given Effexor by her
gp. She was never told anything about its withdrawal effects. (Actually, my pdoc also downplays the withdrawal effects so going to a specialist in this case doesn't assure you'll get the full scoop either.) I have told her that it's difficult to get off of and it has to be done slowly. She doesn't want to hear it. She has full faith in her doctor and feels that he would have told her about the issue if it were that much of a problem. I worry about her because she is so naive and uninformed. Someday she will probably be begging for my advice. I hope she won't need it though.Kara
