I've been on Mirapex for about 3 months at .5mg. I've only been taking it for restless legs but am going to bump up the dosage if my doctor approves. He too has read the studies using Mirapex as an augmentor to antidepressant therapy. I've read that it can help tremendously for those with severe apathy -which is a huge part of my depression. However, the side effects are not to be taken lightly and the dosage must be increased very slowly - .25mg a week until anywhere between 1mg - 4mg daily.
I haven't experienced any side effects from it at all. One alarming side effect is sudden uncontrollable sleep attacks - which apparently only happen at higher dosages.
