Hi Ed.

Have you tried both desipramine and nortriptyline?

I don't think either TCA, by itself, would eliminate the need for a stimulant. I am MUCH less fatigued on nortriptyline than I was on no medication, but we are talking about fatigue, and other symptoms, that suggest narcolepsy, and while all three NE reuptake inhibitors (Strat, desipramine, nortriptyline) help with the REM-related symptoms of narcolepsy, they are not potent wakefulness agents.
