I think a better way to put it is where I wouldnt go. Or who I wouldnt use for ECT. I would NOT use a foreign trained, English as a second language psychiatrist for an ECT doctor. I would only use an American trained, English as a first language psychiatrist.I would also try to get it done at a University teaching hospital, rather than some rinky dink local general hospital. And Id try to have it done outpatient rather than inpatient, cause inpatient sucks.
