Anafranil to Zoloft. How to make the switching?

Posted by AlexSamuel on November 24, 2004, at 3:50:39

Hi to all

I am currently on Anafranil 75mg plus Stelazine 2 mg. Anafranil works for me, but not without side effects especially in the cardiac area which worries me.(palpitations, fullness in the chest) I think Zoloft is similar to anafranil in it's effects but without those cardiac side effects. I want to quit this Anafranil and try Zoloft, as I am a good responder to all serotonin medications. How should I make the switching? Can I stop my Anafranil today and begin Zoloft? Or should I stay off Anafranil for a few days and start Zoloft? What is your opinion? Can you please answer?
