RISPERIDONE + pROZAC + RITALIN

Posted by aazospiro on November 11, 2004, at 16:23:19

Prozac = relief from depression, but numbing, anorgasmic, restless, no focus, disinhibition.

Ritalin = very very relaxing, induces a calm, peaceful focused state, slightly stimulating in that no tiredness, and motivation is improved, irritabilty is obliterated. But on the downside it induces depression.

Prozac steals away from the relaxing effect of ritalin.

Would low dose risperidone like about 0.5 mg or even 0.25 mg help to restore dopamine sensitivity and normalize serotonin elsewhere in the brain so that ritalin does not cause depression or unmask it

would it help with my social phobia too.

Mood stabilizers make me hyper like maddd, and also benzodiazepines....

WHAT CAN I DO

its like a case of SOO SOO VERY CLOSE TO A COMBO THAT WORKS FOR ME AND STILL YET SO FAR????
HEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!

I seem to be a very quick responder to meds. 20 mg of prozac acutely relieves the lows but a higher dose of ritalin is needed to maintain focus and counteract irritabilty and even sexual side effects
