I think you need a new doctor. Wellbutrin doesn't seem to be a great choice for someone with so much anxiety. I also don't think that Trileptal is very helpful for anxiety. You have been honest about your past substance use. I think based on the nature of your prior substance use and your need for a benzo, I think you should be prescribed one.
