I've been taking 150 mg of Effexor XR on and off for the past 2 years. I've noticed every time that I start taking it, my jaw and neck are sore and my ears pop from grinding my teeth at night. So, you're not alone. I'm always very tense and wired the first few days that I take it, but it will eventually go away. I also suffer from alot of muscle weakness as a beginning side effect, so exercise is out of the question. The first few weeks are always the most difficult, but the results are worth it.
