Tricyclic poop-out

Posted by Squiggles on October 3, 2004, at 14:26:32

Hello,

This is a follow-up; my friend is not gaining
weight. I am so worried that she has liver
failure from the Serzone treatment. Apparently,
her dr. said it was depression and added lithium
to imipramine (900mg). She now has tremor --
i am not surprised at that dose added to imipramine and clonazepam; She is better in mood
and sleeps better, but still eats little, and
look withered sort of - the complexion has
improved.

The next app't is so far away (4-5 months) and
i do fear that she has a serious disease.
She has lost about 50-60 lbs. in a few months
and looks gaunt.

Is it possible that depression could do that?
She also has gastro problems, problems swallowing,
and a history of hepatitis. She also just had
a gall bladder operation (can't recall if it
was before or after the Serzone).

I'm worried that either the dr. told her she
has something serious, or the dr. has not
picked it up in the bloods.

Help - she's not worried!
