Sabrina, if you can, please stay with it. It took me an awfully long time to feel the full benefits of effexor - and as I and others have suggested, maybe adding something else might help in the weight gain department? It's a shame that some doctors dismiss out of turn the importance of our self image and the effect of meds on our weight. Some suggested adjuncts are buspar, topomax, and wellbutrin.
