After failed trials with Zoloft, Paxil, Celexa, and Lexapro, mostly due to side effects, I have found pretty good luck with Prozac (generic) and Xanax XR. Basically the Prozac is very stimulating for me which overcomes depression and the Xanax XR for sleep and tempering the edge from the Proz.
I am pretty med sensitive.
Taking 20 mg Proz every other day early am.
.5 mg Xanax XR daily bedtime and early am.
Also I have lost 10 pounds, which I attribute partly to the Proz because my activity level is higher.
