Cymbalta (duloxetine) is a new antidepressant that is considered to be a SNRI like Effexor. It was approved about a month ago.
It is a bit early to conclude how it compares to the others. I have been taking it now for just over two weeks. So far, the only thing I have experienced as a side effect is some sleepiness which seems to be abating. The clinical trials of Cymbalta have been impressive.
