You might also want to consider Armour Thyroid (natural thyroid derived from a pig's thyroid gland). Synthyroid only provides you with T4 for your thyroid conidition and not T3, which is actually the most metabolically active form of thyroid hormone. Armour Thyroid will provide you with T4, T3, T2, and T1. Your endocrynologist might not be too keen on trying Armour Thyroid because medical science is more commercially driven that rationally and/or scientifically driven.
