Ritalin vs. generics: Must I stick with the brand?

Posted by Philidor on September 3, 2004, at 11:21:11

Ok, same question, but different headline from my last post(we'll see if that helps).

Many people say that when it comes to Ritalin, you should never go generic, because they're not as good as the brand.

Well, is that true, or does anyone know of a generic "Ritalin" that's just as good? If so, would you tell me the name or manufacturer?

I'm switching to Ritalin for ADHD next week, but I have no RX insurance, so I'd like to find a cheaper substitute. If you know of one, I'd be grateful to hear from you.

Phil
(To keep things simple, I'm just talking about the straight Ritalin, not the SR.)
