Prozac pooped out on me even after augmenting with desipramine, lamictal, lithium, wellbutrin and remeron. I have to say Lexapro has finally kicked in and my depression is all but gone, just like Prozac did for me for 7 years. Hopefully, Lexapro will last at least 7 years like Prozac if not more. I am in my 6th week of Lexapro and it has finally kicked in. The first couple of weeks were horrible as Lex made me so tired, unable to sleep and even more depressed. I am sure glad I hung in there. I still have some insomnia and some fatigue but I will take that over depression any time. Good luck.

> Also, I heard that prozac has less of a tendency to poop out (like everything else ive tried) so I hope that is true. I have that long term depression that never goes away, so i need something that will continue to work. I take xanax also, so that helps me sleep at night. I do feel more awake with the prozac now, (i do take it in the morning with lamictal) but once i take the xanax at bedtime, i sleep.
