Structurally, it is a secondary amine similar in that way to those two drugs--no doubt, this is where the NE selectivity comes from--but it is a non-tricyclic, having a weird bridged center ring. There is a superficial resemblance to a tricyclic, however.

Actually I think I've seen it referred to as a tetracyclic.
