Wellbutrin caused the same kind of hair loss with me, one of the reasons I will not take it. The loss was not only from the roots, but also breakage in mid-shaft. The feelings of lack of self-esteem and depression caused by losing my hair only made things worse rather than the antidepressant helping me to feel better. I had doctors who denied this was a side effect of the medication.....that was in the days before I discovered this board.
