Hi Dmark. You responded to one of my post and I just posted you a follow-up asking you all kinds of questions--and as I scrolled on the main page I found this post from you.

I am a 28 year old male and I know how SSRI's can mess with your Libido (sex drive). SSRI's are notorious for delayed ejaculation and other host of sexual problems. The thing is that in all my research Lexapro is suppose to have the lowest profile for sexual side effects out of the SSRI's (but medication effects people differently). Lexapro is actually derived from the med Celexa. The manufacturer Forrest Labs just isolated the activating ingrediant in Celexa and developed Lexapro (which is suppose to be stronger with fewer side effects). As far as the withdrawal since you are having so many physical side effects (I have been there). You may want to go back to the original dose and start tappering down in smaller increaments. It may take several weeks to months to fully tapper of of the drug. It depends alot on the medications half-life (that is how long it takes for the drug to be fully excreted from the body--whether it is via the liver or kidneys).

I do have a question. Are you taking yourself off of the medication or are your doing it under a doctor's supervision? Also, if you had good results with Lexapro you may want to weigh the benefits verses the side effects.

As far as Lexapro causing you to be so sleepy. I kind of envy you (if that makes any sense). Because I have the opposite effect I cannot go to sleep. As a matter of fact I have to take an additional medication at night just to fall asleep. That just goes to show you how differently these medication effect people.

I wish the best of luck and I am sorry to hear that you are having a rough go of it. If you have any more question feel free to ask. God Bless.
