I haven't experienced this with Xanax, but have had that problem with a couple of other meds (especially Prozac). One thing that I noticed is that it seemed to be associated with drinking coffee, and once I kept the two separate by an hour or two the heartburn disappeared.

I don't know if you drink coffee at night, but you might look at other possible food/drink interactions. Just a thought -- good luck!
