new side effect after taking celexa a year

Posted by Prism on July 5, 2004, at 13:14:28

I have been taking Celexa for a year. The first 2 months I did not drink alcohol at all. In the third month I slowly started drinking again. By the sixth month I was back to drinking every day.
I did not have any adverse reactions until about the 11th month. I took the meication like normal and drank two beers. I became very dizzy, sick to the stomach etc.. This has happened 3 times the last two times being very close together.

In researching, I came across serotonin syndrome.
I had nearly all the symptoms.

Is it possible to get this more than once, or is it reoccurring? I don't understand why sometimes I can drink heavily and not get sick and than sometimes have 1 or 2 drinks and almost have to be rushed to the hospital???????? YES I have stopped drinking! I still want some answers, if any has experienced this please respond.
