I've been on 75 mg for 6 mos now. It has been working fine for me. The issues I deal with are 1.) sleeplessness, and 2.) lack of libido. I think with Effexor, the higher the dose, the side effects go up proportionately. I would suggest you speak with your doctor or therapist. You shouldn't have to suffer needlessly. Good luck!
