There should be no difference between generic and name brand, but others might know better about that than me.
Remeron worked very well for my depression/anxiety. AND I slept like a baby, which I couldn't do before. I had absolutely no sexual side effects, and it might've even enhanced it a bit.
The reason I'm using past tense, however, is that is made me gain 30 lbs. Now, part of that is my fault. I ate like a pig and enjoyed every minute of it.
I realize now that I'm on no meds, that a little extra weight is nothing compared to the hideous feeling of not wanting to enjoy life.
A little extra advice, you might want to give it more than a couple weeks. Maybe like four, just to give it a fair chance.
