loving lexapro, terrified of weight gain

Posted by h on June 14, 2004, at 12:12:56

Guys, I got some great advice when I was titrating up to 10 mg. Hopefully you can help again!

I've been taking 10 mg for about a week. I was wondering:

1) If I take more will I feel even better? Sunday pm blues and Monday AM blahs are gone. I don't obsess over conversations I had with people anymore. If I said something stupid well, whatever. If I take 15 or 20 mg will I be even more content?

2) Can I just take an extra one occasionally if things are hairy? I realized my doc put "one or two pills daily" on the prescription. I know I have to ask him about that but what is everyone's experience?

3) I've noticed that several people have complained of going up in weight when they go up in dose. I'm pretty thin to start, and I lost about five pounds when I started but since then I'm stable. I work out about five times a week but it sounds like even people like me can go up in weight when they up their dose.

Has anybody lost lexapro weight after gaining?

THanks so much for your feedback
warmly
h
