Prozac...why do I feel this way

Posted by SuzieWong on June 13, 2004, at 5:03:42

I've posted on here before about my new dosing of 10mg Prozac to help with the symptoms I had after withdrawing from Celexa.

The Prozac has certainly helped with lots of issues so far as going out etc but I have an awful underlying depressed feeling now. It is a little better, but I never had the depressed feeling before I took Prozac. When I started taking it I would wake up feeling hopeless and despairing in the morning. This then went on to a stomach churning kind of depression which I still get but less intensity. Once I start moving around it gets a bit better but basicaly I'm really scared.

I'm scared about what my body is actually able to feel ie the stomach churning has sometimes been so intense that it makes my legs weak and my body tremble and I'm scared that I'll end up going out of control. In fact the fact that I'm so scared of this is probably what is making me more depressed. I suppose i'm sort of obsessing about it (something new with Prozac) and then that starts the day off so wrong. I so don't want to feel like this....I'm going on holiday to Tuscany at the end of the week to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary and I feel like I'm, letting everybody down and that I'll get really ill while im there. I felt so bad and desperate that I walked up to my doctors surgery in desperate need to get something sorted but they were shut. As the day went on I did loads of stuff and by the end of the day couldn't even begin to understand why I felt so bad in the morning. Is it normal to feel so depressed in the morning and have an almost complete turn around by the end of the day. I suppose what I'm saying is, is the Prozac making me feel in such a bad way.
