Females tend to rapid cycle like this..just what I've seen and I'm female and rapid cycle.
I also have been told hospitalisation...but I chose long term out patient...I don't know what is best...
Have you been on the meds a year...if so maybe a med change.
It depends if you can function like this and accept milder-ish rapid cycling moods..it may never go away.. in my experience heavy duty meds where all emotion is flat can be worse.Some people don't fit into the bipolar norm..so it's just a case of finding what helps..med change or / and alternative. I wish you luck...don't give up...I'm on med change again..my brain is mashed
