I know that I tend to post about things that aren't working or questions about side effects etc, so thought I'd share something about a drug that has done wonders for my daughter.
In February, my best friend (and second mom to my kids) was killed in a freak paintball accident. Two weeks later, my 15 year old daughter's friend that consoled her during this time was killed in a car accident. This was devastating to all of us, but especially my 15 year old. She began "cutting" herself which had my husband and me petrified. Along with this she had severe panic attacks where she thought she might really harm herself.
Her pediatrician put her on prozac with no results. Then we tried Zoloft. Within 2 weeks, she was a completely different person. Her sense of humor came back, and while she did cut once, she didn't find it eased any anguish as before so has stopped.
She's been on this drug for about 2 and a half months now, and I pray that it continues to work for her.
I just wanted to share this for anyone who might be thinking about zoloft or just needed to hear a success story.
