First day on Lexapro - diarrhea, nausea, headache.

Posted by Impermanence on April 29, 2004, at 20:21:45

I've been taking antidepressants and benzodiazepines for about a year and a half. First Effexor which made me feel very agitated, then Zispin which never got a chance to work because of my relapse on alcohol and class a drugs. Now I'm sober and clean after a major overdose I've been put on Lexapro (10mg) to help me out of this never ending cycle of depression and fear. I'm not expecting much from this drug for a few weeks yet but I really dident expect to be sitting on the toilet for two hours on my first day along with a nasty headache and nausea all day. Has anybody else had this problem with Lexapro? If so will it last much longer? I never felt this bad starting on Effexor or Zispin.
