Klonopin/Why I am not having any withdrawal?

Posted by Pluto on March 23, 2004, at 22:51:47

Hi to all,

Can anybody explain this to me please. I was taking Rivotril/Klonopin (in U.S) for the past six years. Dosage was not much higher though not trivial. I took 3 mg sometimes but most of the times it was 1.5mg. Now I am off this drug for almost a month and surprisingly there is nothing I can notice. I was prepared to suffer all those horrible withdrawals but so far nothing means nothing. Here is how I did it.
First I cut that 0.5mg and stayed on 1 mg for five days.
Then another cut of 0.5mg and a stay of five days.
Lastly I quit it altogether when I was stabilized on 0.5mg. And that was exactly 28 days ago when I last took my 0.5mg.
Now I am on sulpiride 100 mg.

Can anybody explain this to me? Even after using it for years an quitting it almost cold turkey I have no withdrawals. Is there something wrong with me?
One more interesting thing. Rivotril worked in a unique way for me while I was on it. It acted as a stimulant in daytime and as a real sedative at night. If I took 0.5mg in the morning time, it gave me more energy and clarity on thinking. If I took the same dose at night, it made me sleep. Thus it proved quite heavenly.
Can any benzo experts exlain this to me. Or will there by any withdrawals soon, because it has only been a month since I am off it?

I think I will go back to the medication, because sulpiride is not proving to be that good for me. Besides my problems in thinking clearly and anxiety which led me to Rivotril first has come back. Means the original symptoms still persists. What should I do? go back to Rivotril/Klonopin or stay like this?
Please answer
PLS
