Hi there...
I was on Paxil for 2 months and Lexapro for 2 months and both meds caused weight gain for me. Now I'm on Effexor and have been on it for almost 3 weeks now and I don't know if I'm gaining weight or not. I am so depressed over the weight gain until I don't know what to do!! I went from 160 lbs to 181 lbs since November 2003. My clothes are really beginning to fit tight and that really bothers me. I didn't have any side effects from any of the meds I took or the Effexor - - I feel GREAT (but fat). Good luck to you and keep posting for encouragement, info and support!!

My doctor is now changing me to Lexapro, but I am concerned of the anixety side effects. Are they like full blown panic attacks? I went through that before I got medicated and would really rather not travel down that road again. Any advice about what to expect would be helpful. No one in my family has had experience with depression before and I do not have anyone to discuss my concerns with.
