I just explained to her that the stresses and pressures in the world (hence schoolwork, preparing for the future) cause chemical imbalances and that is all the medicine is correcting. If you provide her with a medical slant vs the how you feel/depression side, it might work a little better. I was frank with my mom and said - look chemically I am more stable while taking the meds - and believe it or not it worked. Best of luck in school!
