Xanax is by far the best anti-anxiety benzo available. It absoutely stops panic attacts and anxiey cold. It has a short half life - they say about 2 hours - bit, I find it works for 4 hours at least. I had suffered fron SAD for many years and Xanax saved by life. I can't describe how wonderful it it to be able to carry on normal conversations with people. It is FREEDOM incarnate.
Yes, it can be addictive.It you use it situationaaly and as prescribed, the risk it low. It you use is for an extended period, you will need to taper off.
An far as efficacy is cincerned, it is an absoutely wonderful medince.
