My doctor also said that I would have no problem going off Effexor - that is easy to say for someone who has never done it. Your symptoms definitely sound like Effexor withdrawal - not Lexapro side effects. You should try 37.5mg Effexor for at least a couple of weeks along with the Lexapro. Don't give up on Lexapro yet.
