Hi there. You know it sounds like you MAY be bipolar type 2. The irritability sounds like hypomania. That is how I experience hypomania anyone. Althought I do realise we are all different.
Have you tried taking trileptal? Trileptal is an oxyginated version of Tegretol. Tegretol is used for BP2 especially when there is rage and irritabilty. I recently started taking it and have noticed an improvement. Also you might was to try adding some Niacin (Vitamin B3) at 300 mg a day. It is also known to help with irritability.
I can't tell if you are female or not, but if you are and are on birth control, you might want to try coming off that and using another method.
Hope this helps.

> I am experiencing a depressed mood, anxiety, and extreme irritability. I have had the best luck with Neurontin (Gabapentin). I take 900mg per day (3 x 300). I plan to keep trying higher doses because it's the only thing that has noticeably helped.
> I have a prescription for Wellbutrin, but I quit taking it because it increases my irritability some, but it DID help with energy. I have taken Topomax, Keppra, Lamictal, Depakote, and most Benzos. I took Zoloft and it seemed to help with my mood.
> I'm thinking about trying Remeron, Lexapro, or Effexor. I really don't know what drug to try next. I want to decrease my anxiety, depression, and irritability, without making me lethargic like Keppra did. And I HATE sexual side effects (Zoloft had bad sexual side effects).
