My PDpc was shocked that I'd gained so much weight. It ended up being 12 pounds by the time I saw her.
She pulled me off the Remeron and put me on Topomax. I've had just as good of sleep on the Topomax and it may help a little bit with the weight loss. It is also a mood stabilizer and good for bipolar, which it turns out I may also have in combo with depression and ADHD...
I'm grateful every day for these drugs and for the years of research that go into them. To me they're a miracle.
